The wait staff and beverage cart attendant is responsible for taking and serving orders at the Pheasant Run grill.  Other main duties include serving refreshments on course while operating the on-course beverage cart.  

EXAMPLES OF WORK:(Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed)

  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Responsible for prompt and accurate taking and serving of food and drink orders.
  • Take orders from and serve food and beverage to customers according to established rules of etiquette,
  • Adhere to all sanitation and health regulations and requirements regarding food and beverage service.
  • Presents menu to diner, suggests appropriate food and beverage selections as appropriate, and answers questions regarding food and beverage selections.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of dining area and ensuring empty tables/counter are clean and available for seating at all times.
  • Responsible for accurate check preparation and cash receipting as required.
  • Ensure legal and proper alcohol service procedures are followed according to State regulations.
  • Serve on-course refreshments while operating beverage cart.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Alcohol Safety certification or equivalent preferred; must be able to obtain certification within 14 days of employment.
  • Ability to handle money accurately, conscientiously and honestly.
  • Ability to follow directives accurately and thoroughly and work without close supervision.
  • Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems, and policies with fellow employees and the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work a wide variety of shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns; which includes, but is not limited to, convictions for reckless driving, careless driving, suspended license, or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving.
  • This is an "At-Will" position: Work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements and within the confines of the budget. Schedules and work hours are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time due to division needs, budgeting constraints and staff availability.

Posting Information: Wait Staff & Beverage Cart Attendant (Variable Hour) 

  • This is an at-will position. Hours are limited and will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Employees in this position are not full-time and will be classified as variable hour employees. Hours are not guaranteed and fluctuate week to week. An employee in this position will average less than 29 hours per week on a calendar basis. List your reason for seeking this type of employment (student, retired, extra income etc.)
